What is Doming Epoxy Resin

Doming epoxy resin is a clear two-part resin used to create a rounded or "domed" surface on items like stickers, jewelry, labels, and artwork. When applied correctly, it forms a glossy, raised finish that enhances appearance and durability.

Basic Application Steps

Prepare the Surface : Ensure the item is clean, dry, and level before applying the resin.

Mix the Resin and Hardener : Combine equal parts of resin and hardener. Stir slowly for about three to five minutes until fully blended. Avoid introducing bubbles during mixing.

Let the Mixture Settle :  Allow the mixture to rest for a couple of minutes so bubbles can rise and pop.

Apply the Resin :Use a small dropper, stick, or syringe to apply the resin carefully to the surface. The resin will self-level and stop at the edges due to surface tension.

Pop Any Remaining Bubbles :Use a heat source like a torch or a heat gun lightly over the surface to remove bubbles.

Let It Cure :Allow the resin to cure in a dust-free area for up to twenty four to seventy two hours depending on brand and temperature. Avoid moving it during this time.

Tips for Success

• Work in a warm dry area
• Use gloves and work on a protected surface
• Do not overmix or mix too fast
• Do not add too much resin at once or it may overflow

Storage and Shelf Life :Keep resin and hardener tightly sealed in a cool dark place. Shelf life is usually around one year if stored properly.
